No daycare . . . .day 2

Well, here we are half way thru day 2 without our beloved babysitter.  Her mom passed away from ALS, so we dearly understand her much needed time off and our hearts go out to her and her family.  It certainly puts any of my little issues in perspective doesn’t it.

So anywho, the boys and I are toddling along pretty well.  They’ll go back to Linda’s on Monday.  I’m not sure who will be more excited, Lewie and Jack, or mommy.  Ha.  Lewie keeps asking when are we going back to Linda’s.  I tell him Monday, but honestly his 3 year old mind cannot yet comprehend any time further out than bedtime.  But I tell him anyway.   Jack is a cuddly mommas boy.  He is 14 months old, and hugging me seems to be his favorite activity.  I don’t complain knowing that it’s only while he’s little, so I soak up every cuddle he wants to give.

Oh, by the way, in case you’re single or without kids, and you’ve begun following my blog for the plethora of sewing and appliqué technique tips . . . .  oops, not today.  I can understand if my blabbing on and on about my adorable kids bores you to drink your lunch.  All I can say to you is . . . Shush, your day will come when you’ll want to jabber to strangers about your children who are obviously the cutest kids ever put on this earth.  Just smile and nod along for now.

okay, now back to the cutest boys in the entire state of Iowa.

I’m Watching Jack go thru the same play stages that Lewie did and there’s one in particular that still cracks me up.

Jack loves to be where I am, so each morning he hangs out in the bathroom with me while I get ready.  I can bring in any toy to try and hold his attention so he’s not trying to climb into the toilet! But no toy compares to the little yellow/green boxes of “goodies” (yeah, that’s what we’ll call them) that mommy keeps next to the toilet.  Oh yes, I have the same pic of Lewie at this age, that will mysteriously find its place front and center on their high school graduation photo collage.  oh yeah I’m planning it already.

And as far as any stitching today, forget it.  I need a nap.  Keeping up with these little squirts poops me out.   Z z z z z z z z z z z

  1. Lol, loving your post and pics. My boys are 26 now, and I have one granddaughter that’s doing the same things and driving her Daddy nuts. Have fun. CDahlgren at live dot com
